It's not only the way to a person’s heart that is through their stomach, but also good relations between colleagues. Top quality is important to us, both at work and when dining.

In order to constantly improve, we attach great importance to further education and training. So recently we met with Philipp Stein, the gourmet chef at the Favorite Parkhotel in Mainz, for a joint cooking session on his premises. We’re proud to have been not only Philipp’s guests but also his co-workers, apprentices and colleagues - and we learned a lot. We cooked and grilled a four-course gourmet menu together. We noticed that there are many parallels between gourmet cuisine and our projects. Customers expect top quality prepared to perfection with the best ingredients and delivered right on time.

We experienced an evening that reminded us of some agile procedures. There was a predetermined structure, clear and understandable instructions that assigned the tasks according to the participants’ different preferences, prior knowledge and skills. Everyone had different tasks and we were able to rely on each other 100%. This was due above all to Philipp, who was an outstanding project manager and “scrum master”, acting calmly and carefully. He coordinated and had a complete overview of the entire “4-course menu” project at all times, intervening if necessary and helping us with advice and actions. He showed a lot of trust in us and we were excited that he guided us to such a high-quality result and brought out our dormant talents. Even colleagues who were less enthusiastic about cooking had a great time.
